Drabble: Burn it with Fire

My response to the August prompt ‘ordinary’. Follows after Special Talent.

Genre: fantasy, superpowers

~Burn it with Fire~

Somewhere on his left, a woman wrote some words in the air with blue fire.

Near the chocolate fountain, two men showed off their powers against each other. One stood engulfed entirely in flames, the other had arms transformed completely into fire that took any shape he wanted.

Somewhere to his right, a kid casually toasted her canape with her fire ability.

He looked down at his hand. When he first discovered his affinity with fire, he thought he was special.

Apparently not.

Among these supers, he was just another person with a fire superpower.

He sighed.
