Everyone ‘ooh’ed and ‘ahh’ed at the dancing fire.

With just a thought, the fire shifted into the shape of a bird, then a fish, then a wolf. Cheered on by his friends, he created more and more creatures with his flames, even staging little fights between them.

“So cool.”

“I want to do that too.”

“Teach me.”

The words spurred his fire show to new heights. Everyone else was good at something. Now he had his own special talent too. And his talent was even better than everyone else’s.

He pulled the flame into a dragon that curled around the group and shot into the sky. His control over his ability had really increased since he first got it, but he wasn’t stopping there. This was his special talent, and he was going to make sure he was awesome at it.

He smiled.
