Drabble: Two People, One Invitation, Zero Interest

Genre: fantasy

They both played the same supervillain, so it was only logical that they would receive only one invitation to the annual Super Party.

“You can go, the husband said.

“You like to meet new people, right? Go for it,” the wife said.

“Didn’t you want to practice your new topic trick? This event? Perfect for you.”

“I can practice another day. You can have the honours.”

They continued to juggle the invitation between each other over the next few weeks. Finally, they couldn’t push it off any longer. They turned to the one decision making process that had never failed them.

“Scissors, paper, rock!”

The wife looked down at the hand that had betrayed her.

Her husband smiled. “Have fun at the party.”

If you like the couple, they also appear in Secret InheritanceCaught, and The Plans of a Supervillain.
