Drabble: The Sloth Toy

It had been years since they last met, but he would recognise that sloth toy wrapped around the other person’s bag strap anywhere. How could he not? When he was the one who made it.

He wove through the crowd, excited to reunite with an old friend. Instead, he found a puzzled stranger behind the familiar face.

“Who are you?”

His world shattered.
