Short Story: Floor 8

Every floor on the twenty-storey mega café had its own theme.

Floor 15 was an icy wonderland.

Floor 3 featured a desert oasis.

Floor 17 was a land of bouncy pudding.

Floor 8 featured… squares.

Big squares, little squares, 2D squares, 3D squares, soft squares, hard squares, monochrome squares, multicoloured squares. Everything, including the food, staff uniform, even the drinking straws, followed the same repeating shapes.

And the strangest part? For such a bizarre concept, the floor actually looked good.

Whoever designed the floor, he needed to find them.

~End~

Genre: slice of life
